New York mayor Michael Bloomberg will
announce the inaugural roster of NYC
Literary Honors today, "given to living writers whose work
and lives have been informed by New York City, as a way of highlighting its
place as home to the publishing industry and an inspiration to authors."
The NYT
says the awards will go to:
Paul Auster (fiction) - left.
Robert Caro (nonfiction)
Walter Dean Myers (children's literature)
Roz Chast (humor)
Marie Ponsot (poetry)
Robert Silvers (contributions to literary life)
