News from the Arts Foundation

Derek Lardelli (Laureate) and has been awarded a new academic position.  He becomes an Associate Professor to Tairawhiti’s Eastern Institute of Technology.  

Derek is recognised nationally for the revival of Ta Moko and as a key figure in the field of kapa haka.  He has been the cultural advisor to the All Blacks since 2005 and responsible for the branding of the Athens and Kuala Lumpur New Zealand Olympic teams, among many other projects.
