Spring at Beatnik

Spring is a time of new adventures for Beatnik. We've been pushing forward with new, exciting projects with new, exciting people and are also casting off into uncharted waters. Things are buzzing around here and we want you to be a part of it!

The Artists

We celebrated the launch of our new book, The Artists: 21 Practitioners in New Zealand Contemporary Art c. 2011-2013, at the beginning of August. Thank you everyone who came out to celebrate at Sanderson Contemporary Art.

The Best Awards

Beatnik is proud to announce that our beautiful book Who You Are Is What You Do by Heather McAllister has been chosen as a finalist for the New Zealand Best Awards! You can view the entry here.

Frankfurt Book Fair

Our fearless leader Sally Greer is taking the plunge and attending the Frankfurt Book Fair this year. It is the largest international book fair in the world and we are going to promote Beatnik and our beautiful books at an international level as well as expand our publishing network. It is an exciting time for Beatnik!
