Last night I stumbled on to a superb television documentary on the Arts Channel - the subject was the towering Irish poet, playwright, novelist Dermot Healy.
Many regard him as the greatest living Irish writer.
The programme was quiet, thoughtful, unhurried with outstanding cinematography and I was enchanted, not an emotion I often get from watching television. My thanks to the Arts Channel and to those responsible for making the programme. Stunning stuff.
Graham,
ReplyDeleteI have been raving to everyone about Dermot Healy's latest book: Long Time No See. It is the most stunning book I have read in years. I'll have to find a copy of that documentary.
