New Zealand 2011

Would you like to have your story, essay, or poem formally published in a general-circulation book?

Rocket Books®inc. is a new publishing company dedicated to publishing top quality books and expressing the common voice.

We are looking for authors to submit their work for a new concept in publishing – Words from the People® - New Zealand 2011 to be published in October of this year.

To submit your entry simply email us telling us a little about yourself in 200 words or less and attach your work to the email (2000 words maximum). All work is to be typed (double spacing) using WORD® or similar. Our email address is:

Conditions of entry

This promotion is open to unpublished authors who are New Zealand residents. Entries may be fiction, non-fiction, or poetry.
Authors selected for publication will assign copyright of the chosen work to Rocket Books®inc.
Winning entries will be subjected to normal pre-publication editing procedures with the author’s involvement.
Winning authors will be invited to the private launch party for Words from the People® - New Zealand 2011 in late October 2011.

Entries close midnight 18 May 2011. Successful authors will be notified during August 2011. Unsuccessful authors will not be notified and their entries will be destroyed. Rocket Books® inc. reserves to right to choose the winning entries. This decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  1. What do you know about the people behind Rocket Books? It's a very unstylish, almost simplistic website. Are you running it? Endorsing it? Or just adding the information? It could draw a lot of people in, and it is important that they know it to be a genuine and professional venture.
