FRANK SARGESON HOUSE
OPEN DAY

One of the more popular North Shore Heritage Festival events is on the calendar again this year. This beautifully restored historic home, where Frank Sargeson resided and wrote from 1940s until his death in 1982, will be open to the public thanks to the Sargeson Trust. Restored by the Sargeson Trust, with the assistance of Hayden and Rollett, the house is a significant part of North Shore City’s history and the country’s oldest literary museum.

A literary fellowship is offered annually by the legal firm, Buddle Findlay, and the Trust, and next month sees the publication of a new collection of Sargeson’s short stories, Frank Sargeson’s Stories, published by Cape Catley.
