The Bookman has been fielding enquiries this morning from folk wondering about the Festival scheduled for later this week. This is the official statement from the organisers:

"Following the earthquake in the Canterbury region, the Board of the Christchurch Writers Festival will make a decision on Monday evening regarding the running of the Festival.
