Venue: Heathcote Cricket Club, Heathcote, Christchurch.
Start time 2.30 p.m.

How to get there
The Heathcote cricket club is situated in Heathcote Domain on Bridle Path Road.
Coming from the city – head towards the South Eastern suburbs [Sumner/Redcliffs/Mt Pleasant]. Just beyond Ferrymead shops [over the Heathcote Estuary bridge] turn right into Bridle Path Road [sign-posted to Heathcote Valley] The club is approx 1.5 kms along this road on the right hand side just before the Gondola. If coming from Lyttelton, take the first exit after the tunnel into Bridle Path road and the club is on your left just after Port Hills road.

Parking: There is a car park at the ground – if full there is plenty of street parking.

Players are asked to be on hand by 2 p.m. Please wear light coloured clothing [whites if you have them] Footwear - Trainers are fine or cricket boots if you wish to show off….

Spectators are very welcome and may arrive at any time

The game will be 20 overs played by each side and is expected to conclude
around 5 p.m.

The game will be followed by a picnic/barbecue. Please bring something to eat.
There is a barbecue on hand.

The cricket club bar will be open, serving beer - both bottled and on tap, fruit juice, soft drinks, snacks etc. Attendees may bring their own wine.
There will be a prize-giving ceremony at 6 p.m.
In the unlikely event of rain please do still come along. An alternative indoor event will take place.

This annual cricket match is played in memory of Richard King, professional publisher and book designer, amateur (but very enthusiastic) cricketer, who died on 5 March 2008.
