CrimeFest reveals shortlist

CrimeFest, the annual crime-writing festival, has revealed the shortlist for its Last Laugh Award.


Chris Ewan's The Good Thief's Guide to Paris is up against titles from Colin Bateman, Malcolm Pryce and Len Tyler.

The prize, which will be awarded at the CrimeFest Gala Dinner on 22nd May, is awarded to the best humorous crime novel first published in the British  Isles in 2009.Goldsboro Books funds the £500 cash prize; the winner also receives a commemorative award from Bristol Blue Glass.
CrimeFest takes place from 20th-23rd May. The shortlists for the 2010 Crime
Writers' Association Daggers will also be announced at the Bristol-based convention.
