HAMISH KEITH, AKA THE CULTURAL CURMUDGEON, SUGGESTS SOME MORE THINGS PHIL GOFF MIGHT HAVE APOLOGIZED FOR

*Knowing that Te Papa was wrong for the National Collections and never doing anything to get it right
*Commissioning a review of cultural infrastructure and ignoring it.
*Letting the cultural bureaucracy grow in size in direct proportion to losing any national relevance.
*Pretending that the Labour led government was arts friendly.
*Trying to introduce a totally ineffective resale royalty on works of art while ignoring more immediate and effective ways of rewarding artists for the public use of their work.
*Trying to insert the draconian S92a of the copyright act which judged guilt and punished on complaint.
*Letting the cultural spend grow out of proportion to a massive imbalance of $130 per head in Wellington to $7.50 per head for the rest of the country

Not sure I will be holding my breath.
