Innocence of Lake Wobegon lost on burglars at Garrison Keillor's bookstore
from TwinCities.com:

This sort of thing wouldn't cut it in Lake Wobegon:
A man and a woman were caught on surveillance tape early Thursday breaking into Common Good Books, a St. Paul shop owned by Garrison Keillor, creator of the long-running public radio show "A Prairie Home Companion" and its idyllic Minnesota burg of Lake Wobegon.
Store management has gone on the offensive, posting screen grabs of the crooks online and even "tweeting" a description of the man on Twitter:
"If anyone saw a goateed loser in long shorts and Longhorns cap carrying a safe at 1:20 last night, plz call the St Paul PD," the post on the social networking site said.
Martin Schmutterer, Common Good's assistant manager and shop blogger, watched the video of the man and woman walking through the Selby Avenue building — "They were very calm about it," he said — and put select images from the video on the store's blog, commongoodbooks.blogspot.com.

The surveillance video showed a man and a woman entering the Blair Arcade mall from the adjoining Hill Plaza Apartments about 1:17 a.m. Thursday. The couple broke into Nina's, a coffee shop, and then went downstairs to Common Good Books.
The burglars got in by smashing a window in the store's front door.
The duo headed straight for the registers and thousands in cash, bypassing the store's best-sellers, "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" and "The Turtle Catcher."
