This handsome cloth covered hardcover grew out of an exhibition, Come on, Jack! The Lovelock Olympic Story which the author curated at the National Library of New Zealand Gallery in 2000. The exhibition drew heavily on Lovelock’s papers held at the Alexander Turnbull Library, and later Roger Robinson,a noted runner, writer, broadcaster and former academic at Victoria University , suggested to the author that he edit the journals and diaries for publication. Here is the result.
