MAN BOOKER PRIZE DAY

Today’s the day !!

It is 7.00am Tuesday as I write this, I've had a restless night.

The event starts tonight at 7.00pm with champagne, dinner follows then the announcement is expected around 10.30pm and is followed by a news conference (which I’ll be at) at 11.00pm.

Radio NZ are doing a live link to the 10.30pm announcement I gather so that will be the quickest way for New Zealanders to get the result.

I’m feeling excited and nervous I must say.How must LLoyd Jones & the other shortlisted authors feel?

Who knows which way it will go, five judges, a Chairman who has been discussing the contenders in newspaper interviews??? It’s a lottery!
