Harry sells another 926,000 - and the price goes up

J K Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold another 925,991 copies in all editions in the UK last week, bringing its sales for the first eight days to 3,566,137.
The total represents 91% of the life sales of the previous title, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in all editions.
The main children's edition sold 605,292 copies at an average price of £9.28, a leap up from last week's £8.17. Some retailers raised the price of the book at the end of last week, with Waterstone's going up by £2 to £10.99.

The next three titles in the bestseller chart are Richard & Judy Summer Reads picks, led by Kate Morton's The House At Riverton, which shifted another huge total of 58,000 copies. The Memory Keeper's Daughter and last week's TV-featured title Relentless sold 40,000 and 25,000 copies respectively.
As retail summer promotions continue to roll, the rest of the top 10 are all paperbacks from Peter Kay, Maeve Binchy, Ian Rankin, Mark Haddon and Sam Bourne
