DAME MARIE CLAY
Several friends have e-mailed to advise that Dame Marie Clay died earlier today.
This link is a tribute written in 1991. A full obituary will follow in a few days. R.I.P Marie, a great New Zealander, a great educator.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marie Clay when I trained to become a Reading Recovery Tutor and she visited our training class in Canada. She was an incredible person on so many levels and will be missed tremendously.
