Submissions now open for 2017 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards

The New Zealand Book Awards Trust advises that submissions are now open for the 2017 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. Books published between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016 will be considered.

 There are two submission dates. Please observe the guidelines for sending your entries in two tranches, which are in place to ease of sending to judges.

Submissions of titles published between 1 January 2016 and 31 August 2016, open on Monday 1 August and close 5pm Monday, 5 September 2016

• Submissions of titles published between 1 September 2016 and 31 December 2016, open on Tuesday 6 September and close 5pm on Wednesday, 5 October 2016.

For books in the second tranche, bound page proofs will be accepted where books are not yet printed. Finished books must arrive with the Awards Administrator, Ockham New Zealand Book Awards c/- Auckland Writers Festival, Suite 3, Level 2, 58 Surrey Crescent, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1021, by 5pm on Wednesday, 2 November 2016.

The judges will be named in mid-August.
