Awards

Publishers Lunch

The J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize was awarded to Susan Southard for NAGASAKI: Life After Nuclear War (Viking) while the Mark Lynton History Prize was given to Nikolaus Wachsmann's KL: A History of the Nazi Concentration Camps (FSG). Finally, the J. Anthony Lukas Work-in-Progress award was given to Steve Luxenberg's SEPARATE: A Story of Race, Ambition and the Battle That Brought Legal Segregation to America (W.W. Norton)

The finalists for the NYPL Young Lions Award are:

Angela Flournoy, The Turner House (HMH)
Amelia Gray, Gutshot (FSG)
Alexandra Kleeman, You Too Can Have A Body Like Mine (Harper)
Helen Phillips, The Beautiful Bureaucrat (Holt)
Kirstin Valdez Quade, Night at the Fiestas (Norton)

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on June 9.
