Whitcoulls owner Anne Norman has just presented Diane Foreman with a
framed copy of her bestselling book 'In the Arena', at their managers Christmas
meeting in Auckland.
“We are in huge admiration of Diane and what she has
achieved, and wanted to recognise her tireless efforts to promote her book,
including an exhausting three-week tour of New Zealand. Since Diane’s book was
published on August 28, Whitcoulls have been keen
supporters and are delighted to report that they have now sold in excess of
1,000 copies of 'In the Arena.'
Whitcoulls Book Manager Joan Mackenzie recognised Diane's talent,
profile and the potential of her book from the outset, personally championing
her book company-wide. Mackenzie was so impressed with Diane that she invited
her to give the key note address at the James Pascoe Group conference in
August. Foreman has since spoken at Whitcoulls' regional conferences in
Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
On receiving her accolade, a tearful Diane said how surprised and
delighted she was to be honoured in such a way. “People generally don’t do such
thoughtful things. I’m completely blown away by such a gesture. Whitcoulls have
backed me 110 percent and for that, I am enormously grateful”, said Diane.
