Online voting for Long Way Home Asia-Europe Short Story Contest The Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and its partner the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) are proud to launch the online voting platform for the short story contest: Long Way Home, on culture360.org. Within a month, a total of 483 entries were received from Asia and Europe and evaluated by a professional panel of judges appointed by the UWRF. 10 shortlisted stories are now featured online and two lucky winners will be chosen by members of the public. The online contest aims to support emerging writers from ASEM member countries and unveil new talents in the literary field from both regions. Through this online vote, one Asian and one European winner will be chosen. Both will receive individual cash prizes of SGD 1000, as well as flights and accommodation to attend the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival in October 2013. The winners will be officially recognised at a special event at the UWRF on 14 October 2013. Online voting will close on 1 September 2013 (11:59 pm Singapore SGT) so choose your favourite story now!
