Fifty Shades Snubbed by Bad Sex in Fiction Prize



The Guardian’s Jonathan Beckman, who oversees the contest, rather snootily explains that the Fifty Shades trilogy is not eligible “because the prize’s rubric explicitly excludes pornographic and erotic literature.”
Okay, but so did most airport bookstores until 2012. The terrible-literary-sex times are changing, sir; we deserve a Terrible Literary Sex Award that will change with them.
