Sending postcards home
remains a key part of travelling in New Zealand, despite the myriad digital
communications that we all now use. Postcards from Auckland is part of a series that aims to translate the popularity of postcards
into book form.
In this book
photographer Bob McCree focuses on New Zealand’s largest and most diverse city,
and
he captures all of the
key locations and attributes that make Auckland such a desirable city. This
includes many photographs of the Waitemata Harbour and its environs – the
Harbour Bridge, Princes Wharf, the Viaduct Basin, and the inner city beaches -
and then also ranges out into the Hauraki Gulf, with views from the North Shore
and Waiheke Island. There are also many shots from the CBD and the inner
suburbs, and an evocative range of photos from the iconic west coast of
Auckland.
This is the perfect
memento for anyone who has enjoyed a visit to Auckland.
