John Seymour R.I.P.

So sorry to hear up here in NYC that John died suddenly overnight. John and I trained for marathons together back in the 1980's. He was a great friend, an outstanding publisher, and I feel very sad indeed. My deepest sympathy to Liz and to John's two daughters.

I have just received the following from Andrew Tizzard:

We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of John Seymour, our long serving and dedicated sales rep and friend.
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to John’s wife Liz and their family.
He will be sorely missed.

Glenda and I were aghast to hear of John's untimely death yesterday, albeit having just indulged in 4wd off-road one of his favourite passions. I will miss a longtime booktrade and occasional running friend, not to mention our regular meetings at the old Midland Park Cafe round the corner. Our thoughts are with Liz and their family, plus of course Andrew and the team at Nationwide.
