Travel writing great Patrick Leigh Fermor dies aged 96 - Obituary - The Guardian
Friends and colleagues pay tribute to author revered for his account of walking across Europe
I read "A Time of Gifts" 3 decades ago and was totally obsorbed (obsessively absorbed!) (well okay, just a typo) by Leigh Fermor's writing style - and the material. I am so glad to learn that the conclusion to that proposed travel trilogy is a goer...I look forward to the day when, read & enjoyed, it joins the several others of his works I have on my shelves.
