Kathy Moore, CEO, resigns after 15 and a half years with CLL.

Kathy Moore recently announced her resignation as CEO of CLL, effective 1 April. Kathy will also be resigning from her role as Secretary of the Copyright Council, a role she has held for nearly 12 years.

After 15 and a half years spent developing copyright licensing in New Zealand institutions on behalf of publishers and authors, Kathy is looking for new challenges in the South Pacific. "I was here when the company set up its first office and signed licences with the first universities", she said.

Kathy has found her time at CLL immensely rewarding, having worked with different publishers and authors on the CLL Board of CLL and made friends of many colleagues working in copyright collectives in New Zealand and around the world.

Kathy has developed a wealth of knowledge and of expertise in the area of copyrightover the years, having lobbied for changes to copyright law in both New Zealand and Fiji and having studied copyright law through the University of Auckland and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Worldwide Academy. She has provided numerous seminars and workshops encouraging copyright compliance in educational and other institutions in New Zealand as well as being involved in seminars and conferences advocating copyright compliance and supporting the role of copyright collectives overseas.

Like Kathy, CLL is moving into a new phase with the development of digital books. She wishes the CLL Board and its employees all the best for the future.
