JAMIE OLIVER - TWO ONE HOUR TV SPECIALS THIS MONTH
17 December – Jamie at Home Christmas Special
Jamie is back - and this time he's preparing a festive feast with help from his friend and mentor Gennaro Contaldo, and Brian the gardener.
In an hour-long special, Jamie is also joined by free range turkey farmer Paul Kelly, and free range goose doyenne Judy Goodman.
They discuss how to choose the best and most succulent bird for your Christmas dinner and Jamie shows how to cook up two fantastic Christmas birds with his best stuffing and gravy.
His garden may be winding down for winter, but Jamie takes a wander to see what is on offer. He finds the garden still abundant with greens and he shows how to make the best out of them with a delicious flavoured butter

If anyone is in any doubt how to make the perfect roast potato, Jamie shows the foolproof way to make this essential addition to the Christmas table work every time. Finally, while Gennaro prepares some seasonal roast chestnuts in his own style, Jamie rounds off the day with his twist on the classic mince pie.
24 December – Jamie Cooks Christmas
Budgets may be tight, but Jamie Oliver's determined to have an amazing and inexpensive Christmas.
This hour-long special will be packed with his favourite festive dishes to bring Christmas cheer to your table. The chef's Essex home is wreathed in decorations and he's cooking food for the whole season, with help from his mentor, Gennaro Contaldo.
As well as Christmas classics, Jamie has some ingenious ideas - beyond turkey sandwiches - to make the most of some of your key ingredients, like a zesty Asian-style warm turkey salad for Boxing Day and a tasty turkey and leek pie.
Jamie cooks a ham to last the whole Christmas season, creates mulled wine sorbet for an instant party livener and shows how to use festive spices - such as cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves - to best effect, like his super-quick Christmas popcorn and an amazing fig pudding.
There will be a Jamie-style twist on a classic, with a Christmas pudding sundae, complete with ice cream and amoretti biscuits. Meanwhile, Gennaro has a few festive tricks up his sleeves.
Both these shows are 1 hour episodes on TV1 - to be screened early evening.
