Graphic Novels - what next?

Since posting this to the blog last night I have received the following e-mail from Matt at Dymocks, Wellington:

I noticed your comment on the Christmas Carol Graphic Novel - Thought you may like to know that recently a US company has been producing faithful adaptations with amazing artwork of some classic tales. The Man in the Iron Mask, The Last of the Mohicans, and Moby Dick as well as The Picture of Dorian Gray.
I have been importing them for the Dymocks store on Lambton Quay in Wellington - While there have been a number of graphic novel adaptations in the past decade they have for the most part been a cheap attempt at getting uninterested children into the classics, with no consideration for the art or faithful adaptation. These new items take on a new tone.
